The ABIHS Diploma is for the student who wishes to become a hairdresser.
The Diploma course is run for a period of five days a week, Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00am – 6.00pm approx, full time for 1 Year. In this period you will be taught all aspects of modern hairdressing both theory and practical.
The course is set out in modules and students are assessed continually throughout each module and also at the end. Portfolio work forms part of the curriculum and is also assessed throughout and at the end of the course. The Diploma is awarded upon successful completion of all modules and a final assessment including a portfolio. After the Diploma Course, successful candidates will be of Junior Stylist level.
The role of the ABIHS is to promote and certify quality training in hairdressing that is recognised internationally, allowing Diploma holders to travel and work around the world. The curriculum, teaching, assessments, and standards of the academy are accredited by the ABIHS and all Diploma candidates follow the certification assessment regime as laid down by the ABIHS to complete and graduate from the course.
